The Bonkerz Seal of Approval
Google defines Seal of Approval as a status or a recognition given to a product, service, or concept that meets certain criteria created by an organization or person.
The Bonkerz Seal of Approval is required before any comic can work for Bonkerz. These requirements include a commitment to professionalism, as well as providing a great experience for the audience. Bonkerz’ comics are given an itinerary for each venue that outlines show times, content requirements, contact information, lodging details and even a minimum time frame they must appear at the venue before the show.
Bonkerz’ comics typically work multiple Bonkerz venues every year. Some of our headlining comedians work as much as half of their calendar year just working for us. Their actions at each of our venues relates to their employment at all of our venues. Doing a good job in one location is how they earn the opportunity to work all of our locations. The converse is also true, so you can rest assured that the Bonkerz Seal of Approval is not easily earned and something that comics must maintain in order to perform at any and all Bonkerz locations.

Rob Holloway
Rob’s high energy impressions, hilarious sound effects and non-stop comedy will make you laugh until you fall out of your chair and leave you begging for more. Rob’s popularity keeps him performing non-stop in casinos, comedy clubs and cruise ships all year long. Rob has even appeared on stage with great comics including Richard Prior, Jim Carey and Kevin James.
Originally from North Carolina, Rob exudes warmth and Southern like-ability. A maestro of sound effects and dead-on impressions of celebrities and characters, Rob creates a show that is full of energy and a delight to watch. An evening with him is an evening you’ll never forget.
Rob started his brand of comedy in 1985 while still in the United States Air Force at Edwards Air Force Base. He did talent shows on base as well as travel to Los Angeles to work the local clubs there. It was the height of comedy in the 80’s so it was a great time to start doing stand-up. Rob was lucky enough to be the opening act for Richard Pryor, Andrew “Dice” Clay, and Sam Kinison, among others.
After living in L.A. a few years, Rob moved to New York City working clubs like the Improv, Catch a Rising Star, and Caroline’s. Once in N.Y.C. he was able to get comedy T.V. credits such as Comedy at Caroline’s, Comedy at Club 54, Nightshift, Comedy Live in New York City, and Mad TV. During all of this he was honing all of his skills and was a favorite opener for acts like Bob Nelson, Bobby Collins, Jim Carrey, and Tommy Davidson.
Rob’s comedy influences include: Richard Pryor, Rich Little, Robin Williams, Bill Murray and Phil Hartman.
Rob has traveled all over the U.S. as well as Europe performing his brand of in-your-face, high-energy comedy. His energy is infectious as he sets the show to a laughing frenzy of impressions, singing, and improvisation. Every one of his live performances vary slightly but are always consistent……they’re FUNNY!
Rob’s creativity shows in his performances. He has attended Second City Improv Theater Company—a theater that has a history of producing great improv actors such as Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and John Belushi, among others. Second City has improvisational training, sketch comedy development, scene work expansion, singing improv, instruction, and character improvement classes.
Rob Holloway’s comedy is for people who expect more meat on the comedy bone. Hilarious stand-up interspersed with right-on/non augmented sound effects and dead-on impersonations keep audiences clamoring for more. Rob’s high-energy style has not subsided even after 20 years on the comedy circuit and he’s been sharing stages with known greats since his very start.
