The Bonkerz Seal of Approval
Google defines Seal of Approval as a status or a recognition given to a product, service, or concept that meets certain criteria created by an organization or person.
The Bonkerz Seal of Approval is required before any comic can work for Bonkerz. These requirements include a commitment to professionalism, as well as providing a great experience for the audience. Bonkerz’ comics are given an itinerary for each venue that outlines show times, content requirements, contact information, lodging details and even a minimum time frame they must appear at the venue before the show.
Bonkerz’ comics typically work multiple Bonkerz venues every year. Some of our headlining comedians work as much as half of their calendar year just working for us. Their actions at each of our venues relates to their employment at all of our venues. Doing a good job in one location is how they earn the opportunity to work all of our locations. The converse is also true, so you can rest assured that the Bonkerz Seal of Approval is not easily earned and something that comics must maintain in order to perform at any and all Bonkerz locations.

Preacher Lawson
“Don’t Follow Your Dreams Lead Them”
Language of Laughter
Preacher Lawson was born In Portland, Oregon, but was raised most of his adolescence in Memphis, TN. Before the age of ten, he moved 20 times. However, if you ask him what city he is from, he’ll say Orlando, FL, because that’s where he grew up as a comedian. When you grow up switching schools a lot, you have to learn how to adapt. Everywhere Lawson went he learned about different people and different cultures. He noticed the one universal language everyone had in common was laughter. Laughter is a language Lawson is very familiar with. In turn, he warmed up to most people. Even when he wasn’t the funniest, he was still the loudest!
Los Angeles
Preacher Lawson started writing jokes when he was 16 years old. He wrote for about a year, then decided to perform for the first time as a bet between him and his mother. It was the best decision of his life. He got his start in the open mics and showcases around town before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a full-time career.
His Best Material
Preacher Lawson brought his best stand-up material performing in front of judges Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Mel B., Simon Cowell and Tyra Banks. He performed the song from the video, Walking in My Underwear. You can find that song, and many more on his SoundCloud. So far, he has been blessed enough to meet a few of his Comedy Idols. In addition, he opened for many well-known comedians. He even won the 2015 Funniest Comedian In Florida, and the 2016 Seattle International Comedy Competition.
