The Bonkerz Seal of Approval
Google defines Seal of Approval as a status or a recognition given to a product, service, or concept that meets certain criteria created by an organization or person.
The Bonkerz Seal of Approval is required before any comic can work for Bonkerz. These requirements include a commitment to professionalism, as well as providing a great experience for the audience. Bonkerz’ comics are given an itinerary for each venue that outlines show times, content requirements, contact information, lodging details and even a minimum time frame they must appear at the venue before the show.
Bonkerz’ comics typically work multiple Bonkerz venues every year. Some of our headlining comedians work as much as half of their calendar year just working for us. Their actions at each of our venues relates to their employment at all of our venues. Doing a good job in one location is how they earn the opportunity to work all of our locations. The converse is also true, so you can rest assured that the Bonkerz Seal of Approval is not easily earned and something that comics must maintain in order to perform at any and all Bonkerz locations.

Matt Markman
Matt Markman was born in northern California in 1975. Growing up he moved around a lot including living two years in Athens Greece. In his travels he visited several countries like Singapore, Italy, Turkey and France. His fathers job landed him in Las Vegas in 1992 where he now lives with his family.
Matt Markman has always had a fascination for comedy. In fifth grade Matt was required to write and deliver a speech, this would be his first time performing comedy. It was good, and funny enough to be the best in his class where he then took on the whole school. He failed to win however he was successful in filling the auditorium with laughter, he liked the feeling and from this point on comedy became a major part of his life. Sometimes he used to pay his neighbor (a friend who was 18) to buy the comedy albums he was to young to, then recessing to his room, listening to them quietly so his parents wouldn’t hear. Matt could always be found with some sort of a joke book in his pocket, ready to make laugh all that would listen.
In high school Matt was struck with crippling social anxiety. He’s tried everything to overcome it including medication, therapy, books even hypnosis however none of them helped. It wasn’t until March of 2004 Matt headed down to Boomers Humors open-mic comedy show with a three ring binder under his arm filled with jokes he’d been working months on. Matt took the stage that night and started his slow and long road to conquer his anxiety and stumbled upon something he was born to do, make people laugh.
He has a unique self deprecating attitude and delivery which makes him a crowd favorite. Matt tackles a wide variety of subjects from failed relationships, his new marriage, his upbringing and the adult industry. He is a regular at every major casino on the Las Vegas Strip, performing to a miss mash of audiences, making him a versatile and sharp witted addition to any show. Highlights in his career include co-booking and performing at the largely successful “Backyard Comedy Show”, placing 3rd in the World Series of Comedy and winning the Crazy Jay Comedy Competition Judged by George Wallace, Anthony Cools and The Cast of Absinthe as well as opening for both Mr Wallace and Mr Cools and opens for Anthony Cools regularly. His TV credits include performing Live on the “FOX 5 Morning news” and “Man Up Stand Up” hosted by Adam Hunter. Matt was also a finalist in the World Series of Comedy 2010 and 05′ and 06′ Laughs at the Beach comedy contest as well as placing second in the FOX 5 comedy contest. Matt is a rising star and will be one of your favorite comics once you see him.
