He recently performed in the Aspen Comedy Festival. Kjell Bjorgen started his comedy career in Los Angeles, California in 1999. After three years he gained some notoriety by performing in both the Chicago Comedy Festival and the Montreal Comedy Festival. He left Los Angeles in 2003 to hone his craft and perform on the road. His perseverance paid off when he was asked to be a part of the Lewis Black “Nothing’s Sacred” tour in the Fall of 2005. Most recently he has performed at the Aspen Comedy Festival in 2006 and just filmed “Live at Gotham” which will air on Comedy Central in July of 2006.
Kjell’s rise from waiting tables at the mall to touring with Lewis Black didn’t come about overnight. In between there were many drunken nights, empty promises, and the usual broken heart tales that go along with making a comedy legend. Recently he’s appeared on Comedy Central’s Live and Gotham and NBC’s Late Friday.
Kjell has performed at Just For Laughs Chicago Comedy Festival, The Improvisation, The Comedy Store, Improv Underground, Luna Park, Masquers Cabaret, and Ha Ha Cafe as well as Second City Improv. Kjell’s film and television appearances include “Teaching Mrs. Tingle” and “Rude Awakening”. KJELL BJORGEN! This is awkward because we don’t even know how to pronounce his last name and he is a great comic. This man has a COMEDY CENTRAL page, was on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham” and many other shows, and he is coming to close out a comedy night in style at your local comedy club. Seeing him perform live is a beautiful gift from the heavens and you get to see him. Tell your mama and all your friends to get over here and watch Kjell Bjorgen.
