Don Grey

Don Grey’s journey to fitness and comedy came naturally. Growing up in LA as an obese child will make you become funny very fast. If he told the fat joke first, then he could avoid the taunts from others. Tired of being the funny fat kid. Don started taking fitness seriously when he was 13. Weighing 250 lbs as a freshman is not fun or funny. So Don started taking football and kickboxing seriously. Even more importantly he started thinking about his nutrition. As a Latch key kid of a single parent. Don learned to make himself healthier meals and avoided going to the corner store for snacks. By the time he was 15 he had lost over 50 lbs.

Donnell Grey’s style has been called “hilariously brave”. His energetic delivery, physical act-outs and dead on accents leave the audience wanting more. Don draws from his life and his far out imagination to keep the crowd rolling in laughter. He interacts with the crowd in a very positive and intimate way. A great natural performer, Don engages the crowd with pop culture references and witty banter so there is never a dull moment. Knowing that Comedy and Fitness were in his future Don pursued both vigorously.

Earning degrees in Exercise Science and Video Production. He started training clients and teaching Kickboxing in the San Fernando Valley. All while going to Hollywood every night to do open mics and see his Idols perform. Don joined SAG and appeared on show such as “Sabrina the Teenage Witch” and “Spy TV”. Winning game shows like “Greed” and “Studs”. Wanting to take his Stand-up to the next level. Don moved from LA to Atlanta where he could get more roadwork as a Comic. Always keeping his mind on fitness. He developed a new workout class called “Tae Stick”. Combing Kickboxing and Escrima stick fighting. After winning the “Silver Nails Award’ for comedy and appearing on the reality show ‘He’s a Lady”. Don appeared on Oprah, The View, Good Morning America and others. Preaching his message that Healthy living can be fun and attainable.

Don Grey currently lives in Atlanta GA with his wife and young son. Touring the world doing comedy and still training and teaching Kickboxing.
