The Bonkerz Seal of Approval
Google defines Seal of Approval as a status or a recognition given to a product, service, or concept that meets certain criteria created by an organization or person.
The Bonkerz Seal of Approval is required before any comic can work for Bonkerz. These requirements include a commitment to professionalism, as well as providing a great experience for the audience. Bonkerz’ comics are given an itinerary for each venue that outlines show times, content requirements, contact information, lodging details and even a minimum time frame they must appear at the venue before the show.
Bonkerz’ comics typically work multiple Bonkerz venues every year. Some of our headlining comedians work as much as half of their calendar year just working for us. Their actions at each of our venues relates to their employment at all of our venues. Doing a good job in one location is how they earn the opportunity to work all of our locations. The converse is also true, so you can rest assured that the Bonkerz Seal of Approval is not easily earned and something that comics must maintain in order to perform at any and all Bonkerz locations.

Cliff Cash
Cliff Cash is from the religious, conservative south. He adds a new twist to stand-up that you certainly won’t soon forget.
Climbing the Ranks
Cash draws comparisons that others miss as he finds absurdities in everyday culture, media, politics and dogma. Cliff will make you question what you accept as normal, whether it’s through one of his characters or voices, an angry rant or a satirical rap song. Cash is quickly climbing the ranks and is a rising star on the comedy circuit. He is featuring all over the country with multiple sets and hours of material. He was accepted to the Cape Fear Comedy Festival for three years in a row and was at the Norfolk Comedy Festival. Not to mention, he won Port City’s Top Comic 2013, Comedy Zone’s Almost Famous competition 2013 and was chosen as one of 30 semifinalists nationwide in Comedy Central’s UpNext competition/talent search.
North Carolina
Cliff Cash is a North Carolina native. He was born in a small southern town where he was exposed to everything from Nascar to banana and mayonnaise sandwiches. Let’s put it this way, he may have had a rat tail at one point. Cash soon developed a not so healthy love/hate relationship with the shenanigans of southern small town life, as he grew older and saw more of the world. Similarly, he found inconsistencies in many of the cultural, political, social and dogmatic guidelines that once seemed set in stone.
Rock Bottom
After going through what can only be described as rock bottom, Cliff decided he’d try stand up at an open mic. He thought it may make him feel better to laugh. However, what it really did was save his life. Cash took the local comedy scene by storm, now able to see through a new set of eyes. As a result, he now knows what he is meant to do. Notably, he was opening for national headliners just one month into his comedy career.
Writing & Performing
Fast forward two years. Now, he is writing and performing multiple different 30 minute sets as a feature for many other clubs around the country. Today, he headlines some of the best Indy shows, colleges, theatres and clubs in the Southeast. He is winner of the Port City’s Top Comic 2013, Almost Famous 2013, regional winner of Comedy Central’s UpNext and runner up/finalist in several other competitions. In short, Cash is just getting started. He performed in the Cape Fear Comedy Festival in 2011, 2012, and 2013, and Norfolk Comedy Festival 2014. In addition, he was a finalist for the Martin Grant and chosen to showcase at 2015 NACA south.
Amazing Comics
Cash even opened for amazing comics like Michael Ian Black, Bert Kreischer, Jeff Dye, Kyle Grooms, Todd Glass, Joe Zimmerman, Michael Che, Seaton Smith, and many more! Lastly, Cliff professionally recorded many 30, 45 and 60 minute shows. They are available for sale on his website.
