Carla Rea has a great story and it is Interesting how far she has come from her first job at a Fotomat Drive-thru. Carla Rea says it did pay to stay in College! She knew the first time she stayed up late to watch the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson, and saw a lady named Joan Rivers do comedy, that she could do that – so she did! On the road for many years, TV shows, making a living at what she loves! Twenty plus years into it, and she is still doing it! Rea also always loved the media – Radio, TV. Maybe because there was a wealth of material there for her as a comic! Comedy has become her life, and will stay that way! There is no better feeling than getting a room full of people – who don’t know a thing about you, or each other – to collectively laugh, uncontrollably, at what she is saying. Carla Rea says she is VERY lucky! Carla Rea used to know every word to The Logical Song by Supertramp, now she says she can barely remember where she left her keys… In her head she’s an incredible dancer, but in reality – she stinks! In her next life though, you’ll see her on Broadway – or just on a pole… Carla is able to juggle – just one ball at a time, but she makes it look good! Oh, and Carla Rea can play the theme from “Rocky” on Harmonica! Rea ended up as national runner-up. An accomplished comedian with over 25 years of Comedy Club, TV, and radio experience, Carla has had two appearances on Late Night with Conan O’Brien as well as appearances on Evening at the Improv, Showtime and Comedy Central. One of the funniest comedians you’ve ever seen, she’s worked with the best: Ray Romano, Brad Garrett, Paula Poundstone, Kathleen Madigan, and many others who still request to work with her regularly because she delivers the laughs! Carla recently released a DVD “Finding the Funny,” and will be recording her second DVD. After appearing on “The Tonight Show,” the winner’s name has been lost to time. Carla Rea, meanwhile continues a career on radio and comedy stages, as well as a stint for a few years as Public Affairs Director and occasional stunt correspondent for “Wake Up with the Wagners.” She currently co-hosts the morning show on radio station KKLZ in Las Vegas, Nevada.
