The Bonkerz Seal of Approval
Google defines Seal of Approval as a status or a recognition given to a product, service, or concept that meets certain criteria created by an organization or person.
The Bonkerz Seal of Approval is required before any comic can work for Bonkerz. These requirements include a commitment to professionalism, as well as providing a great experience for the audience. Bonkerz’ comics are given an itinerary for each venue that outlines show times, content requirements, contact information, lodging details and even a minimum time frame they must appear at the venue before the show.
Bonkerz’ comics typically work multiple Bonkerz venues every year. Some of our headlining comedians work as much as half of their calendar year just working for us. Their actions at each of our venues relates to their employment at all of our venues. Doing a good job in one location is how they earn the opportunity to work all of our locations. The converse is also true, so you can rest assured that the Bonkerz Seal of Approval is not easily earned and something that comics must maintain in order to perform at any and all Bonkerz locations.

Billy Gardell
BILLY GARDELL is the star of CBS’s hit comedy, MIKE AND MOLLY. This Pittsburgh native has appeared in numerous TV shows & movies including “My Name Is Earl“, “Yes Dear”, “The Practice”, “Lucky”, “The King of Queens”, “Monk”, “House”, “Bad Santa”, “Avenging Angelo” and even his own Comedy Central & Showtime Specials.
Billy is also the host of a new game show, MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRE’S CLUB, based on the hit board game and produced by the team behind Deal Or No Deal.
Before “Mike and Molly”, Billy Gardell co-starred in the critically acclaimed FX television series “Lucky.” His other television credits include “Yes Dear” and “Judging Amy” on the CBS Network, “My Name is Earl”, “The Practice”, “Monk”, “Heist”, “House”, “The King of Queens”, “CSI:Crime Scene Investigation”, “Las Vegas”, “Bones”, “Desperate Housewives”, “Sullivan & Son”, “Gary the Rat”, and the Comedy Central series, “Make Me Laugh”.
He made his major motion picture debut alongside Anthony Quinn and Sylvester Stallone in “Avenging Angelo” and had a memorable scene with Billy Bob Thornton in the Cohen Brother’s film “Bad Santa”. Billy also appeared in “You, Me & Dupree”, played Umpire Haze in the baseball feature, “Undrafted”, and appeared in the Clint Eastwood directed blockbuster film, “Jersey Boys”.
Billy took the long road to Hollywood, stopping at every small town lounge, military base and comedy club along the way. His comedy act took him to Los Angeles where his dedication to acting, along with touring as a stand-up comedian, allowed him to grow consistently in both arenas. His stand-up show is a powerhouse. His grounded, down-to-earth point of view strikes a strong chord with American audiences. Stories about his rough childhood, wild adolescence and new family life are executed with the skill of a master craftsman.
As a standup comic, Billy began doing comedy at the original Bonkerz Comedy Club in Orlando, Florida. Bonkerz is also where Billy got his first paid job as a comedian, his first headline spot and his very first TV appearance on Bonkerz’ Showtime Network Special. Since that first appearance, Billy has had numerous stand-up comedy appearances including: “Comedy Central Presents Billy Gardell” & “Billy Gardell: Halftime” premiered on Comedy Central and “Billy Gardell Presents Road Dogs” premiered on Showtime. In addition, he makes regular appearances on “NFL Today” on CBS Sports.
A native of Pittsburgh, who currently lives in Los Angeles, Billy loves Steeler football, stand-up comedy and his wife, Patty, and son, Will.
