Aaron Aryanpur

As a contributing joke writer for a variety of programs and publications, Aaron has covered topics ranging from current events to celebrity fashion to Stephen Hawking – sadly though, not a combination of all three.  At least, not yet. Aryanpur said comedy isn’t just about entertainment. To him, it’s a chance to take a deep personal reflection that also happens to make people laugh. I love using it as a source of self-analysis, to figure out my identity and work out my feelings,” And a fun way to do some hard work. I definitely think it made me a better person. He regularly plays comedy clubs in Dallas and Fort Worth, has performed at clubs in New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles, including the famous Friars’ Club and will open for the Axis of Evil Comedy Tour at the Majestic Theater in Dallas this summer. “Right now, I’m in a very interesting place where comedy was kind of a hobby,” he said. “Now I feel like I’m running two parallel, full-time jobs. I’m busy with both.” There’s like stupid questions I get from other parents,” he said. They ask, ‘Are you saving for his education?’ I haven’t starting paying for my own education. It’s not me hating my kid because I love him dearly. It’s just there’s frustration that comes with a big life change and when people laugh, it’s a laugh out of acceptance and sympathy.”

With over tens of years’ experience on numerous stages and a background that includes writing, performing, improvisation and voice-over, Aaron delivers laughs show after show with his unique perspective and expressive, likable delivery.  His show has been called “controlled, engaging, open and vulnerable; ultimately, he’s relatable and very funny.”
