Bonkerz Comedy Productions has been in business since 1984. Bonkerez Experts have offices in Orlando, FL and Las Vegas, NV and have over 30 locations around the USA. Bonkerz produces 5 Las Vegas area resorts and our shows there include The Louie Anderson Show and multiple Bonkerz shows throughout the greater Las Vegas area. In Florida we have clubs in East Orlando, Downtown Orlando, Jacksonville, Daytona, Sanford, Ocala, Homosassa and various other comedy series around the state.
Bonkerz also produces shows for numerous other casinos and resorts across the USA including locations in Indiana, Ohio, Maryland, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Bonkerz is also branded nationally with the Latitude 360 entertainment chain.
President & Founder
Joe Sanfelippo, founder and President of Bonkerz Comedy Productions has been producing Live and TV/Cable Performances since 1984. In addition to owning the 20 unit Bonkerz Comedy Club chain, Joe has been personally involved in the careers of famous stand-ups and comic actors including, CBS’ Mike and Molly star Billy Gardell, SNL co-star Darrell Hammond, Larry The Cable Guy, Carrot Top, Andrew Dice Clay, and even the legendary Sam Kinison.
Joe has cast and co-produced several Comedy Central and Showtime specials including, Funniest Person in America, Showtime’s Comedy Club Network and Billy Gardell’s Road Dogs of Comedy filmed on location here in Las Vegas. Joe has also been involved in comic casting for Star Search, NBC’s Stand-up for Diversity, and ABC’s America’s Funniest People.
Joe consults with NBC’s America’s Got Talent, where he has placed over a dozen comics on the show including Grand Finalist, Grandma Lee. He also produces Emmy Award winning comedian Louie Anderson’s Las Vegas stage shows along with multiple Las Vegas casino productions.
In his spare time Joe loves to cook and entertain friends and family. His knowledge of the Las Vegas restaurant scene combined with his willingness to try new cuisines make him great company when you are in town.
Executive Vice President & CFO
Margaret Sanfelippo Executive Vice President and CFO has been part of the Bonkerz executive management team since 1998. Margaret is a graduate (cum laude) of the University of Central Florida’s School of Business. Margaret is responsible for overseeing the day to day business and financial aspects of Bonkerz. She oversees all department managers including comic and venue scheduling, sales and marketing, venue relations, web master, IT and our reservation center.
In addition to her involvement in the daily operations of Bonkerz, Margaret travels extensively consulting with our venues and helping them to set up systems, work on branding issues, etc. Her depth of knowledge is a major asset to Bonkerz Comedy Productions.
Margaret is active in charity work, helping to raise money for several charities including BASE Camp Children’s Cancer Foundation. She is also a fantastic baker of both traditional and paleo friendly cookies, cakes and other delicious treats.
Sales Director & Director of Venue Relations
James Yon Sales Director and Director of Venue Relations has come thru the ranks as both an established comedian who regularly headlines casinos and clubs across the USA and an important member of our executive management team. James oversees our team of 12 promotions coordinators, reservationists and party planners. He is in charge of training of both our in-house and venue employed marketing staffs. James travels to oversee the opening of new venues where his combined experience as a club manager and stand-up comedian gives him the unique perspective to understand all sides of the comedy venue.
James’ comedy experience spans a period of 15 years. He was the host of his own show at Universal Studios for 5 years and is currently in his 3rd season as star of Dish Network’s Viral Breakdown. Along the way James has appeared on NBC’s Stand-up for Diversity, FOX Network and more.
James is a loving husband and father of 4 wonderful children. He is actively involved in all of their projects and activities. Like the rest of the Bonkerz crew is an adventurous foodie.
Director of Venue Acquisitions and Executive Producer
Warren Durso Director of Venue Acquisitions and Executive Producer has been an asset to Bonkerz since 1990. Along with extensive experience as a stand-up comedian, Warren is an expert at developing new venues as well as consulting with existing ones on all aspects of comedy operations. He is also in charge of vetting potential new comics who want to be added to the Bonkerz roster.
Warren’s understanding of the entertainment side of our operation is vitally important. In addition to being an established stand-up, Warren has written and appeared in several movie projects and served as a producer on the reality TV show Work of Genius. He has even been featured in an eight-page spread in Esquire Magazine titled Ugly.
Warren is a fun loving guy and renowned practical joker. Even in his spare time he loves filming absurd videos and just making everyone else laugh and have fun.
